Name:Blood Magnesium Concentration Assay Kit
Measurement method: Micro-method
Specification: 100 tubes/96S
Storage conditions: low temperature and light protection
Validity: 6 months
Note: Choose 2-3 samples with large expected differences for pre-calibration before formal measurement.
Measurement significance:
Magnesium is an activator of a variety of enzymes such as phosphatase, creatine kinase, hexokinase and carboxylase. Magnesium is also essential for the composition of DNA, RNA and ribosomal macromolecular structures. Magnesium is essential for maintaining normal nerve and muscle function. Deviations from normal serum magnesium concentrations are associated with certain renal and endocrine diseases, among others.
Principle of Measurement:
Magnesium ions hydroxide into colloidal particles in alkaline medium and further combine with datan yellow to show orange-red colour, within a certain range, the absorbance at 540nm is proportional to the concentration of magnesium ions.
Bring your own instruments and supplies:
Adjustable pipette gun, visible spectrophotometer/enzymometer, micro quartz cuvette/96 well plate and distilled water.
